Iran Gets Four S-300 Missiles – From Russia, While U.S. Tuns Blind Eye, Says Morris
One of the most disturbing pieces of information commentator Dick Morris shared in his speech last week at the Center for Security Policy’s award lunch was the fact that apparently last month, Iran received four A-300 anti-aircraft missiles.
Russia struck a deal with Tehran to deliver this missile system some time ago, but as U.S.-led sanctions have gained momentum, Russia has promised not to deliver it. Analysts believe this missile system, which would make it easier for the Islamic Republic to shoot down planes attacking its nuclear weapons program, would preclude an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities and jeopardize U.S. or other pilots in the event of such a mission.
According to Morris, Russia is behind this recent delivery. In last week’s talk he said, “We are turning a blind eye as Russia, which has promised not to sell the A-300 anti-aircraft system to Tehran, now is in fact doing it …”
More to come.
