Why Secret?
Last week, the Times of London reported that Robert Malley, one of Barack Obama’s mideast policy advisors, was holding secret meetings with Hamas. This week, al Jazeera released shocking footage of Palestinians in Gaza doing phone banking for Obama. This is not a joke. Neither is the fact that 61 percent of Jewish voters are supporting Obama.
I’m all for open-mindedness. But between Obama’s spiritual mentor’s damnation of America and support for Louis Farrakhan, Obama’s friendship with unrepentant terrorist William Ayers, Obama’s various associations with Palestinian extremists—and their desire to see him in the White House—I’ve got the sense to be alarmed at the prospect of an Obama presidency. So should anyone who cares about the United States or Israel.
Two questions: given the picture that has emerged of Barack Obama’s ties to Muslim extremists and their support for him, how can any Jewish American (much less 61 percent!) even consider voting for him? And why did Mr. Malley even bother making his meeting with Hamas a secret?
