A Historic Moment … to Jump on the Bandwagon
Interesting the way the Kennedy clan waited until Barack Obama had won a few primaries to decide he was JFK reincarnated. Not only did Caroline and Uncle Ted weigh in just this past week, but on Sunday cousin Maria Shriver leapt on stage with Oprah, Caroline, and Michelle Obama, deciding it was a “moment to … Have a conversation with [her] own heart” and discover Mr. Obama’s unique and magical ability to unite the nation.
By my calculations, millions of moments have passed since Mr. Obama announced his candidacy. I wonder what’s so special about this one, other than that he has won enough primaries and sustained momentum for long enough that deciding, at this point, his message is special entails absolutely zero risk and requires zero independent thought.
