Go Steelers! So far the Steelers are 2 and 0. They haven’t played the best teams, but they “totally blew out” Cleveland and Buffalo, according to James Taranto. “I just hope they win by less than 9, because I have the 49ers in the pool,” he says.

Why Taranto did not bet on the Steelers, I will never understand.

“Because nine points is too many,” he says.

Whatever that means.

    My pick of the Niners left me begging the football gods for forgiveness. I did receive it, though, as Dallas's covering the spread in last night's game was sufficient to ensure me victory in this week's pool. Onward and upward!
